Abstract

The importance of the quality of guiding in a tourist destination
is one of the key factors in creating a comprehensive and
satisfying tourism experience for tourists. One village that has
great potential in the tourism sector is Tegal Loegood Village,
which is located in an area rich in natural beauty and preserved
traditional culture. Despite its great potential, the development
of this tourism village still faces several challenges, especially
in terms of service quality and human resources involved in the
tourism industry. The approach of this research is descriptive
qualitative. The purpose of this study is to explain how guiding
training can improve the potential of tourism villages, both in
terms of economic, social, and cultural aspects. The results
show that guiding is not only about providing information to
tourists, but also educating them about the importance of nature
and cultural preservation. Tourism villages like Tegal Loegood,
which have rich natural potential, need guides who can provide
an understanding of the importance of protecting ecosystems
and natural resources. Trained guides will be able to convey
messages about good environmental management, such as not
destroying nature, not littering, and preserving flora and fauna.
