POTENSI GUA MARIA SENDANG JATININGSIH SEBAGAI DESTINASI WISATA RELIGI DI KABUPATEN SLEMAN: ANALISIS KOMPONEN 4A

Abstract

This research is a qualitative research that aims to describe the potential of Gua Maria Sendang Jatiningsih as a religious tourism destination in Sleman Regency. The approach used is a descriptive approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, semistructured interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the potential of Gua Maria Sendang Jatiningsih as a religious tourism destination in Sleman Regency is evidenced by the availability of various kinds of attractions, adequate amenities, easy accessibility, and additional services. Attractions are manifested in the form of buildings, statue, springs and also Eucharistic celebrations related to spiritual tourism activities. Gua Maria Sendang Jatiningsih has a Baptism Monument as one of the distinguishing attractions from similar religious tourist destinations. The supporting factor of attraction appears in adequate additional amenities and services. These additional amenities and services provide convenience and comfort for visitors. In the implementation of the 4A component of tourism, accessibility is an added value because it is located not far from the city center and supported by a quiet atmosphere.
